1.Regular Cleaning: Clean your gutters at least twice a year—in the spring and fall—to remove leaves, twigs, and debris.
2.Check for Damage: Inspect for cracks, rust, or loose connections. Repair minor issues promptly to prevent larger problems.
Make sure your downspout outlet holes are clear! VERY IMPORTANT!
Ensure Proper Slope: Gutters should have a slight slope to direct water toward the downspouts.
Extend Downspouts: Use extensions to ensure water is discharged at least 4-6 feet away from your foundation.
